(Note: see post 46 for an update….) We are coming up to the 1-year anniversary of the blog; time for renewal. At this point I am planning on letting the blog expire and not renewing the domain. I appreciate everyone who has taken the time to read my articles. However, 99% of the comments I get are from Russian spambots! (Side note: I can see how easy it would be to have spambots flood sites with misinformation prior to an election.) Anyway, I am considering whether I might restructure the site and invest more to get better spam protection and for more promotion of the site. In the meantime the site will likely go offline. However, if any of you can’t live without my blog and want it to continue uninterrupted any feedback would be appreciated. Thanks, all!
Future of the blog?

Fabulous blog which I enjoy immensely. Sorry you’re leaving
Well, I’m getting some positive feedback now, so I might keep it going and look into better spambot protection. We’ll see.
Your site is worth restructuring from my perspective.
I totally understand the fatigue with spambots and the need for some feedback from the consumers of your blog, else you feel you’re just shouting into the wind. But I’ve recently read an article explaining that shouting into the wind isn’t so ineffective after all due to an acoustical effect called convective amplification (lol). So, I hear you just fine! I have absolutely appreciated your perspective on scripture and doctrine. I usually come away shaking my head at myself for not seeing or realizing or even questioning the cognitive dissonance I should have had during my years as an evangelical christian…there’s a magic that goes on that caused me to lay aside critical thinking because it appeared unfaithful. Therefore, I would love to continue to hear from you on this forum or another, but only if it continues to give you satisfaction and some joy. I apologize for not commenting earlier, but that’s not your fault. I’ve enjoyed and shared and looked forward to your articles!
Thank you for sharing
I try to read all your posts. I like how they challenge me. I would miss your posts.
Take a year off Doug and give me a chance to catch up.
I’d be sad if your blog folded because I greatly appreciate your insight both with medical related matters and where you delve deeply into areas and draw together points from parts of scripture I am not always familiar with. You have a knack of linking issues. I also like the ‘subversive’ element which runs through your posts
Thanks for your feedback!
